This weekend, Eric took his very last law school final (even though the Bar is essentially a huge final, he’s sure to remind me). Josie and I were holed up in the house, because my allergies were killing me. We tried a couple of trips to the park and I about died.
We got creative, though, and had a bunch of fun.
I’ve been trying to stick to whole food meals for everybody and slowly phasing out processed stuff. Jo’s a wonderful eater and loves fruit, cheese, and (yay!) a lot of vegetables.
I have got to do something about this girl’s hair. She refuses to keep her ponytails in, but she really has no problem with it hanging in her face all day. Hopefully it will get long enough that it will stay behind her ears…eventually.
Josie has fallen in love with shoes – especially these ones she got for Easter from her grandparents. She’s loving dressing her self, too, but she has yet to actually get it right. Practice makes perfect!
Also a favorite – bathtime. We go through at least one thing of bubble bath a week having bubble parties and making sweet hair-dos.
The highlight of the weekend was Skyping with Elmo. Grandma and Grandpa had an Elmo puppet and Josie thought it was the best thing ever. She had to give him lots and lots of kisses.
That’s that! Nothing too eventful, but…it’s the little things that make life wonderful. And now to spend my night eating ice cream and watching my shows. (Mad Men, The Borgias, and Game of Thrones. If you’re a fellow fan…we should definitely talk.)
How was your weekend, friends?
