About the Family

The easiest way to tell our story is with dates. Like so:

June 12, 1982 – Eric was born and was cute as ever, or so I’m told. I believe it, though, he’s kind of a stud.

August 13, 1987 – A whole five years later, I was born. I was also pretty darn cute.

The next 23 or so years were spent with us going to college (Eric to BYU-I and BYU, myself to Northeastern and BYU), moving a ton (at least in my case – 13 moves = a ton, right?), and finally (told in typical “boy meets girl” fashion)…

December 2009 – Boy signs up for LDSPlanet.com on his father’s recommendation. Girl signs up as a joke. They start a heated Red Sox vs. Yankees feud, chat for a bit, exchange emails and then…nothing. Girl cancels her account, but secretly Facebook stalks boy, wondering if she’ll ever hear from him again.

End of January 2010 – Boy emails girl.

February 14, 2010 – Boy buys girl a plane ticket to Sacramento, so they can hang out. Girl is convinced he’s the one. Boy is convinced she’s cute.

March 27, 2010 – Girl flies out to Sacramento. Boy buys her the Jamba Juice that Wisconsin doesn’t have and keeps it in a cooler until the 11 pm flight arrives. (Awwwwww….)

March 29, 2010 – They go to San Francisco for the day. Boy says, “I think I’m going to ask you to marry me.” Girl says, “I think I’m going to say ‘Yes.'”

Spoiler alert: He does. She does.

July 15, 2010 – The wedding happens in the Bountiful, UT temple on a beautiful, sunny July day.

November 2010 – Two pink lines…

August 13, 2011 – Baby Girl #1 – Josephine Jacqueline is born, weighing in at 8 lbs 6 oz. Mama was 6 lb 8 oz when she was born and Daddy was 8 lbs 6 oz, so…she’s basically meant for us.

April 7, 2013 – Two more pink lines…

May 2013 – Eric graduates from law school and the family moves up to Spokane Valley, WA.

August 2013 – It’s a girl! Prospective due date, January 13, 2014

…and we can’t wait to see the wonderful things that the coming years have in store.
