Whole Wheat Waffles

I made these waffles this morning and I had to share, because they were pretty darn delicious. I got the recipe from 100 Days of Whole Food, but made a few adjustments that I kinda love…

Whole Wheat Waffles (adapted from 100 Days of Whole Food)

2 large eggs

1 ¾ cups vanilla almond milk

¼ cup vegetable oil

1 tablespoon agave syrup

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon baking soda

1 ½ cups whole-wheat flour (I used King Arthur’s organic white whole-wheat flour)

2 teaspoons baking powder

⅛ teaspoon salt

Warmed 100% pure maple syrup for serving

Mix together all the ingredients, add about 1/4 cup at a time to the waffle iron, and enjoy! The best with real butter and REAL maple syrup (preferably from your parents home in Wisconsin :-P).
